Requirements:
- To complete the Instructor Exam the candidate is required to have a valid Certificate of Completion from a RAID IDP together with current certification as First Aid, CPR and Oxygen Adminsitration Instructor ratings.
Description:
To earn certification, the candidate must fulfil the following requirements:
~ Complete and pass the online academic modules, quizzes, and exam.
~ Complete and pass all academic, confined water, open water, and rescue evaluations.
~ Demonstrate a professional and ethical approach to the task of representing the RAID brand by passing the evaluation on the Professionalism Evaluation Form.
The assessments are conducted by the candidates completing presentations in the classroom, confined and open water.
What the Examiner is looking for;
~ Safety Awareness: Uncompromised control of your student group and continuous risk management.
~ Neutral Buoyancy: Excellence in demonstrating and teaching all underwater skills while hovering.
~ Professional Attitude: Punctuality, teamwork, proper dress, and a positive, encouraging mindset.
~ Problem Solving: Quick, calm, and correct responses to simulated student errors or equipment issues.
Certification:
On completion of the IE the candidate will be certified as a RAID Open Water Instructor
Included:
- Training by a RAID Instructor Trainer for final evaluations in:
- Dive Theory Exams: Demonstrate mastery of dive physics, physiology, environment, equipment, and the decompression algorithm.
- Standards & Procedures: Prove you can navigate and apply the RAID General Diving Standards and specific course guidelines.
- Academic Presentation: Deliver a concise, engaging, and professional classroom lecture on a assigned theoretical topic.
- Confined Water Teaching: Teach a randomly assigned skill in a pool, demonstrating perfect form, control, and problem resolution.
- Open Water Teaching: Pass an in-water evaluation managing students, conducting skills, and maintaining strict safety control in open water.
- Rescue Evaluation: Flawlessly execute a complex unconscious diver recovery and rescue breaths scenario.
