Elshabha Elsouryrh
Near-shore reef close to El Quseir
Elshabha Elsouryrh
The reef is a beautiful mosaic of dense hard coral gardens interspersed with sandy channels, offering ample opportunities to observe and photograph marine life. Clownfish dart among anemones, while tiny nudibranchs, shrimps, and scorpionfish hide in coral crevices. Sandy patches may host rays and flatfish resting on the bottom, and the gentle slopes allow divers to take their time exploring the reef structure.
Small overhangs and ledges create micro-habitats, supporting a thriving community of reef organisms. The calm currents make it ideal for relaxed navigation, macro photography, and careful observation of reef interactions. Visibility is typically excellent, enhancing the vivid colors of the corals and fish.
